A Creative in Vermont

Based in Vermont, KaraMia® is a graphic design studio that showcases the colorful illustrations and patterns created by Kara Christie Murphy.

 

After graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in Art History, her work in marketing for global brands took her to Asia, San Francisco and Boston. A couple of decades later, she returned to her home state, Vermont, where she discovered the joy of teaching. As an adjunct professor she engaged college students with her expertise in publication design and her passion for design while she earned her masters degree in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University.

 

Today, she feels lucky to indulge in her own creative projects. In the Fall, KaraMia sells her work at craft shows in Vermont. In her free time, she travels near and far for inspiration. Best of all, she enjoys being on the shores of Lake Champlain with her family, friends and sweet puppy.
